Artist Spotlight: Juliet Fox
You’ve always brought a strong sense of personality and emotion into your tracks. Who were the key influences or moments that helped shape the Juliet Fox we know today?
Whenever I make music, it comes from a deep and honest place, straight from the heart. That’s what really pushes my personality and emotions into my tracks. It’s a translation of what I’ve been living into sound. I grew up going out and discovering music at a young age, and I always had a strong passion for it. I was drawn to many genres, but trance and hard dance really became my main forms of expression. When I sit down to make music, I don’t usually have a specific plan in mind. Instead, I flow with whatever I’m feeling at the time. My inspiration comes from travels, the club, and moments in life that usually spark the initial idea, and then I build from there. My biggest influences weren’t necessarily specific artists, but rather certain places and experiences. Moving from Australia to Europe and throwing myself into the underground scene in Berlin shaped me the most. The sound, the energy, and the openness of that city taught me to trust my instincts, both as a person and as a producer. And now, becoming a mom has added a whole new layer of depth to my creativity. I’m still creating from the heart, but there’s also more structure and clarity. I feel stronger, more grounded, and always evolving.
Can you tell us about your thought process behind “Sweet Dreams”? How did this song come to life?
“Sweet Dreams” was born from a feeling more than a concept. I wanted to create something deeply emotional but still powerful on the dancefloor, with heavy bass and kicks blended to a hypnotic acid line. I loved the idea of calling it “Sweet Dreams” because, in a way, the song merges two worlds: the dancefloor and motherhood. It reflects that space between multiple 3 am moments: playing in a club, being awake at night, and feeding my son Cosmo. I wanted to capture the melancholy, hypnotic, comforting feeling of drifting between reality and a dream state. The vocals actually came first, almost like a lullaby, and I built the track around that. It’s a very personal track, but one that I feel can be interpreted universally. It represents vulnerable strength and quiet power.
What can fans expect from you next? Any upcoming releases, collaborations, or special projects you’re excited to share?
“Sweet Dreams” is my last release of 2025, and I’m really happy to end the year on this note. There will be a lot coming up going into the new year. I have a mini-album on the way with six tracks, built around a really exciting concept that I can’t wait to share. It will be released on my own label, TREGAMBE, and the project will also be tied into live performances. I also have a collaboration coming with CARAVEL and another with Amber Broos, with whom I’ll be playing B2B. I’ll be touring with Lee Ann Roberts in Australia at the start of the year, and there may be some music coming out around that, too. I’ve also done an official remix of “Time To Burn.” With Storm, I have another release coming on Armada. Creatively, motherhood continues to be a major influence. I’m entering a new chapter, seeing things with more clarity, and exploring new ways to tell my story.
