Artist Spotlight: Luvstruck
What inspired the idea behind ‘Do You Think About Me’, and how did the creative process unfold?
The idea came about from coming up with chord progressions on the keyboard and came up with a really beautiful but simple chord arrangement. I then had a vocal sample which I wanted to use in a song for a while and felt it fitted this one perfectly as the song is really dreamy and takes you to another place.
As a producer who moves across genres, how do you see your music bridging classic trance energy with today’s modern sound?
Yes, that’s very true. I don’t like to pigeonhole my sound; I can make all different genres, and like to use little elements and influences in my productions. I love that old classic sound from the late 90s to early 2000’s so I pride myself on hopefully giving people those nostalgic feelings when they hear my music or feel like they are being transported back to that time.
What’s next for Luvstruck in terms of exciting projects or upcoming tunes?
I have lots in the pipeline; I have a few commercial releases coming and some more club-oriented music. I’ve just done a song with one of my biggest inspirations, Paul Masterson, and the amazing Luvain, so I can’t wait for this one to come out.
