Artist Spotlight: MDDLTN & Liam Wilson
What inspired the creation of ‘Sa Torreta,’ and how did the idea for this collaboration between you two come about?
- We both got in the studio together and really wanted to make an authentic Balearic-style track inspired by the scenery and the beautiful landscape of Ibiza. The collaboration came about when MDDLTN contacted Liam, who he has been a big admirer of for many years.
Can you walk us through the production process of ‘Sa Torreta’? How did you blend your individual styles to create this track?
- We used the high energy of MDDLTN’s hard dance style alongside Liam’s strong knowledge of the trance genre, as he has been in the game for some time and always puts out captivating melodies. The two styles combined have come together to create a beautiful Balearic summer track which breathes the real essence of Ibiza.
What can fans expect from each of you individually in the coming months? Any solo projects or collaborations on the horizon?
- We both have another collaboration that is fresh-sounding, but still emphasises the classic early-2000s late-‘90s sound. We both have more releases locked in with Armada Music and we both have some more solo projects in the works. MDDLTN has some exciting collaborations coming up with Sneijder and The Rocketman for 2025, whilst Liam is focusing on some more solo projects.
