Ever since Beatport.com introduced the world to its Beatport Music Awards, Armin van Buuren has won the award for ‘Best Trance Artist’. In both 2008 and 2009, the Dutchman generated the most sales in the trance section on the download-portal, and after being nominated was voted ‘Best Trance Artist’.
